Morrissey: England Has Lost Identity

Bold words from a good man:

The pop singer Morrissey claims he can no longer live in a Britain he believes lost to an “immigration explosion”.

The former frontman of the Smiths, who is now based in Rome, claimed England was just ‘a memory now’.

The 48-year-old added: “Other countries have held on to their basic identity yet it seems to me that England was thrown away. Continue reading

Chavez: CNN Trying To Instigate My Assassination

The idiot continues:

CARACAS (Reuters) – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Wednesday CNN may have been instigating his murder when the U.S. TV network showed a photograph of him with a label underneath that read “Who killed him?”

The caption appeared to be a production mistake — confusing a Chavez news item with one on the death of a football star. The anchor said “take the image down” when he realized. Continue reading

Bloodsucking Capitalist Donates $200 Million

News like this warms the heart:

WASHINGTON – The nearly two-decade-old global effort to eradicate polio, now in a difficult end-game stage in trying to eliminate the last places where the virus still paralyzes children, received a major financial boost yesterday with a $200 million commitment from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International.

More Ridiculous Parisian Rioting

PARIS — Dozens of rock-throwing youths battled police for a second night Monday in a suburb north of Paris, illustrating the hair-trigger tension in France’s poor immigrant neighborhoods.

The violence began Sunday in Villiers-le-Bel after two teenagers on a motorbike died in a collision with a police car.

LA Times

I am always shocked why people riot over a literal car accident, pretending to their hearts content that this was intentional. People come up with persecution complexes and project their hatred even when accidents occur. Continue reading

Google To Provide New Storage Service

Google is still at it:

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Google Inc is preparing a service that would enable users to store data from their personal hard drives on its computers, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday in its online edition.

Users would be able to house files they would normally store on personal computers — such as word-processing documents, digital music, video clips and images — on Google’s computers, the Journal said, citing sources familiar with the matter. Continue reading

New Osama Message?

There is a notion that he may speak soon:

Al Qaeda’s TV production unit promised on Monday a new message from Osama bin Laden would be made public soon.

“Soon, God willing, a new message from the lion Sheik Osama bin Laden, may God protect him, to the Europeans,” says a banner posted Monday on a radical Islamist Web site by the production unit, As-Sahab. Continue reading

At Night No One Bothers You

I want to be the midnight truck driver. I do not want to work during the days. I want to work in the middle of the night and while you sleep I want to be driving on a highway, somewhere far away; driving until morning and driving back.

Perhaps these people do not know how envious I am, and perhaps it is an envy merely out of ignorance, but in the worse times of my life the headlights of large trucks always give me peace. It’s a very serene feeling to see the truck passing by and to know that a human being is in there… They’re working, quietly, listening to some tunes, drinking some coffee. Continue reading

Chinese Deny US Ship Port Entry

Really weird news that seems like it is an aim at elevating tension between the Americans and the Chinese:

The Pentagon criticized China yesterday for denying a Thanksgiving Day port visit to Hong Kong by the USS Kitty Hawk, but would not say whether the snub will lead to limits on military exchanges with Beijing.

Pentagon and military officials were stunned by China’s abrupt decision on Wednesday to disallow the carrier visit, which was planned for at least a month and timed for the holiday. Continue reading

Timmerman: The Democrats’ Quagmire

A good article written by Timmerman that points out a lot of the striking errors of the Democrats these days — they just cannot come off as patriots.

Democrats in Washington just can’t seem to help it. Even when great opportunities arise that would allow them to look like patriots, they sponsor yet another bill to cut off funds for our troops in Iraq.

Last week, Democrats in the House of Representatives voted yet again to fix a firm deadline to begin withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq. It was their 40th such vote. Luckily, their motion died in the Senate, where the Party of Surrender failed to muster enough votes to survive a presidential veto. Continue reading

Democrats: Party Of The Poor?

Democrats like to define themselves as the party of poor and middle-income Americans, but a new study says they now represent the majority of the nation’s wealthiest congressional districts.

In a state-by-state, district-by-district comparison of wealth concentrations based on Internal Revenue Service income data, Michael Franc, vice president of government relations at the Heritage Foundation, found that the majority of the nation’s wealthiest congressional jurisdictions were represented by Democrats.
